ProSphere recently received the Virginia Values Veterans (V3) ‘Influencer’ Award presented by Governor Terrence R. McAuliffe. The award was presented at the 5th Annual V3 Awards during the Virginia Workforce Conference that was held in Richmond, Va on September 28. This ceremony recognizes V3-Certified Companies for their commitment to creating and increasing employment opportunities for Veterans specifically in Virginia. ProSphere entered the V3 program in March and has since exceeded its yearly Veterans hiring goal. Currently, Veterans make up almost 20% of ProSphere’s workforce.

You may be surprised to know that Virginia has the most Veterans of any state, the most Veteran women of any state and the most active duty Military than any other state. The Governor has surpassed all of the goals that he set forth in office and has recently reached more than 26,000 hires since the V3 program’s inception in 2012.

“Virginia is home to one of the largest veteran populations and boasts more veterans per capita in our labor force than in any other state in America,” said Governor McAuliffe.

The V3 Influencer Award is presented to one V3–Certified Company that promotes Veteran employment and the V3 Program, specifically, it showcases the “Best Veteran Marketing Strategy” on various public communications platforms. ProSphere was able to demonstrate its marketing strategy across several platforms to include social media, print advertising, and recruiting sites.

The V3 Program is a Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Veterans Services Program whose mission is to educate and train employers throughout the Commonwealth on the Value of Virginia Veterans, and to help employers connect with these personnel assets to maximize the productivity of their workforce. In order to become V3-Certified a company must complete specific training courses, submit an organizational veteran hiring plan (OVHP), and deliver a statement of commitment with their yearly hiring goal. In addition, V3-Certified Companies must report their quarterly numbers to the Commonwealth.
