ProSphere Receives Virginia Values Veterans (V3) Influencer Award
ProSphere is pleased to announce it has received the Virginia Values Veterans (V3) ‘Influencer’ Award presented by Governor Terrence R. McAuliffe. The award was presented at the 5th Annual V3 Awards during the Virginia Workforce Conference held at the Richmond Convention Center, Richmond, Va. Awards in various categories are presented to recognize V3-Certified Companies and strategic partners for their ongoing commitment to creating and increasing employment opportunities for Veterans in Virginia. The V3 Influencer Award is presented to one V3–Certified Company that promotes Veteran employment and the V3 Program, specifically, it showcases the “Best Veteran Marketing Strategy” on various public communications platforms.
ProSphere entered the V3 program in March and has since exceeded its yearly Veterans hiring goal. Currently, Veterans make up almost 20% of ProSphere’s workforce.
“ProSphere is very pleased to be recognized for our recent efforts,” said Stephanie Chase, V3 Contact and Director, Corporate Communications. “We’ve really embraced the formal process of being a V3-Certified Company and it has helped us demonstrate our commitment to hiring Veterans.”
The V3 Program is a Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Veterans Services Program whose mission is to educate and train employers throughout the Commonwealth on the Value of Virginia Veterans, and to help employers connect with these personnel assets to maximize the productivity of their workforce. In order to become V3-Certified a company must complete specific training courses, submit an organizational veteran hiring plan (OVHP), and deliver a statement of commitment with their yearly hiring goal. In addition, V3-Certified Companies must report their quarterly numbers to the Commonwealth.
