ProSphere to Support CDC DHAP-SE for HIV Prevention Research
ProSphere Now Offering Emergency Response & Health IT Software Platform to Federal Clients
Pro-Sphere Tek, Inc. (ProSphere) now supports of the Center for Disease Control (CDC) Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention-Surveillance and Epidemiology (DHAP-SE) that provides national leadership for HIV prevention research and surveillance, as well as the development and testing of effective biomedical interventions. ProSphere is part of a team that is striving to reduce HIV transmission and HIV disease progression in the United States and internationally.
DHAP-SE will guide the development, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based HIV prevention programs serving persons affected by, or at risk for, HIV infection. Branches of DHAP-SE include Epidemiology, HIV Incidence and Case Surveillance, and the Behavioral and Clinical Surveillance. These branches also develop and demonstrate best practices of laboratory and prevention technologies to efficiently move them from development into public health practice.
“This is a great opportunity for ProSphere as we continue to expand its Health IT reach and provide support services to an agency that is actively working on issues that affect people worldwide,” said Kevin D. Rice, president, ProSphere.
ProSphere’s data analysts will analyze quantitative epidemiological, clinical and/or behavioral data and provide meaningful information to the CDC. This will be accomplished by designing study datasets, improving the uniformity of data collection, and resolving data problems.
