ProSphere was awarded a new task order under the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Transformation Twenty-One Total Technology Next Generation (T4NG) for the Office of Information & Technology (OI&T) in support of Technical Support Services for the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Insurance Service, headquartered in Philadelphia, Pa. ProSphere will deliver on-site technical support services to perform application maintenance using Microsoft.NET technologies, systems engineering, data architecture, and documentation support services. Services will encompass release planning, systems/software engineering, enterprise networking, cyber security, and operations and maintenance. The VBA Insurance Service supervises and administers approximately one (1) million active accounts that covers some $1.3 trillion in insurance coverage for 7.1 million Veterans and members of the uniformed services.

“Veterans are eligible to participate in the insurance service that provides them peace of mind and the protections of comparable commercial policies,” said Roger Sam, VP of Practice Management & Marketing. “ProSphere is pleased to supplement the team providing maintenance services for this crucial system.”

The VBA Insurance Service has administered this program for decades, delivering services similar to that of major insurance companies, all within the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Insurance Service relies on its IT infrastructure to support systems that meet or exceed all insurance industry performance standards in timeliness, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
